In 1985, Corporate Wings Inc. was established in Salt Lake City by Steve Ronniger, a corporate pilot who is still our owner today. Specializing in aviation consulting, sales, and leasing, Steve has type ratings in BE300, BE1900, CE500, CE510S, CE525S, HS125, and CL604. Recently, he completed a six-year assignment in Saudi Arabia as a director of aviation. This included setting up the operation, as well as overseeing all the hiring, maintenance, budgeting, scheduling, and flying of the CL604.

Get to Know Our Owner

Steve started flying in 1973 and has accumulated more than 11,000 hours in his career, earning positions as a flight instructor, aerial survey pilot, charter pilot, and corporate pilot.

In 1980, Steve became the chief pilot and director of operations for Salt Lake Beechcraft and was appointed FAA 135 check airman on all Beechcraft: Bonanza, Baron, Duke, King Air C90, E90, F90, B100, and 200/B200. Over the next five years, the Beechcraft charter department became the largest of such operation in Salt Lake City while under his guidance. Steve was also one of the first pilots to receive a type rating on the King Air 300.

During these years in his flying career, Steve developed a sense that the majority of aviation customers were not being given the level of service that he felt they deserved. With a change in management at Beechcraft Aircraft Corporation, he felt it was the right time to start a company that could provide the level of service he felt necessary and could do so with integrity.

Maintenance Knowledge

Steve has been interested in and involved with aircraft maintenance since early in his career. He watched over maintenance professionals throughout his career and learned much from these experiences. When he started Corporate Wings Inc., he made it a priority to better control the quality of maintenance.

Later, Steve decided to concentrate on brokering, acquisitions, and consulting, closing the maintenance and management departments. Still, the maintenance knowledge he acquired over the years has proven valuable to the evaluation of aircraft. He now has an in-depth knowledge of systems, maintenance programs, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and even interior and exterior refurbishment.
